18,40 – 20,00: Main panel with relevant topics for this important General Aviation Conference powered by Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Romania:

  • EASA GA Roadmap
  • General Aviation is a high priority for EASA and is dedicating effort and resources towards creating simpler, lighter and better rules for General Aviation. Recognizing the importance of General Aviation and its contribution to a safe European aviation system, EASA in partnership with the European Commission and other stakeholders has created a Road Map for Regulation of General Aviation

  • GA Roadmap for Romania
  • This is a new initiative of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Romania to create a GA Roadmap for Romania, therefore we invite all authorities, private and business institutions to contribute. The masterplan for the future of general and business aviation. The initiative wants to become a permanent workgroup for the aviation community here.

  • Aircraft Maintenance on your own. Understanding the role of CAMO
  • What are the legal requirements for taking care of Personal Aircraft, and what CAMO really means? Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) is a term originating in Europe, but today is used across continents. So what is it, and how does it affect an aircraft private operator? Significant levels of trust are afforded to a company looking after the maintenance of an aircraft. So, if you choose to place your aircraft with a CAMO, you should ensure that your trust is well placed.

  • Aircraft Avionics Updates
  • We are in a middle of a retrofit avionics revolution. In the last 24 months more options are available for GA aircrafts, than in the last 20 years. This is a game changer for older birds. You will benefit of full presentation of the latest products from Garmin and other avionics producers available to upgrade the avionics of your aircraft. Also you will find out important details about Continental diesel engine option as a problem solver of the AVGAS rising prices and limited availability.

  • Developments in Aircraft Certification
    • The aviation industry is in a continuous evolution. This has the potential to more effectively assess the safety and security of products and services. This is happening at the same time as the introduction of new technologies appears to accelerate across many domains like propulsion, autonomous transport and advanced manufacturing. In this session, we will explore how these trends will influence each other looking forward and how regulators and industry may cooperate.
  • Future Trends in General Aviation Operations
    • Advances in technology continue to contribute to improve safety and operational efficiency throughout the aviation industry. As the industry evolves with new concepts becoming mainstream, new operational challenges are starting to emerge which must be addressed. This topic will address the opportunities and challenges being created by aviation’s latest technology advances in the field of flight operations in the area of general aviation.
  • EASA/EU regulation for licensed pilots
    • EASA has managed to introduce a law which requires all pilots whose „operator” is resident in the EU to have EASA licenses and medicals – even if the aircraft is registered outside the EU. These licenses would be in addition to the State of Registry (e.g. FAA) licenses required by ICAO.  How is CAA implementing this new regulation? Is this affecting the pilots in Romania?
